Choreographer

Spellbound Theatre is seeking a choreographer for the world premier production of "The World Inside Me", a sensory musical performance for children ages 0-5. This production rehearses in Fall 2018 and will premier as a co-production with the Chicago Children's Theatre, followed by a run at The New Victory Theater. The choreographer will work with the creative devising team and performers to create movement and dance sequences for the performance with an eye toward storytelling and engagement with young audiences.


"The World Inside Me" by Spellbound Theatre is a project awardee of the CreateNYC Disability Forward Fund. An ideal candidate for the choreographer position will have experience creating inclusive performance with a cast of diverse abilities, with preference given to choreographers from the Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing community (interpretation services provided by the company).


Rehearsal schedule: Flexible, September - November 2018
