This multi-sensory, multi-disciplinary performance installation creates a dreamy world of poetry, music and magic to explore the infinite and the intimate, just for children ages 0 – 3 and their caregivers. Bond together under the stars to the sounds of Shakespeare’s poetry, twinkling music and innovative performances about fate, family and the celestial realm. Bringing The Bard’s best lines about the cosmos to life with starlit props, musical instruments and mesmerizing movement, this gentle show reminds us that “we are such stuff as dreams are made on.”

Shakespeare’s Stars was developed by Valerie Clayman Pye, Lauren Jost and Christine Dehne. Spellbound had the privilege of being a New Victory LabWorks Artist from 2018 to 2020 to devise and test this magical show for 0 – 3-year-olds and their caregivers. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, Spellbound had to put the next steps of this project on hold.
